Our story
Wallasey Cricket Club was established in 1864, making us one of the oldest cricket clubs on the Wirral. For over 160 years, we’ve been a cornerstone of the local community, providing opportunities for generations of cricketers to play the game they love.
Today, we’re a thriving club with 400+ members across all ages and abilities – from 5-year-olds taking their first steps in All Stars Cricket to Premier League champions competing at the highest local level.

- 2000,2002, 2022: 1st XI Premier League Champions
- 2nd XI Premier League Champions – 2019, 2021. Chester Cup Champions – 2016, 2021, 2022, 2025
- 2025 L&DCC Women’s Super 8s Division 2 Champions
- National Recognition One of our U16 players won the Jack Hobbs Award in 2025 – recognition as the best U16 cricketer in the UK.
- Elite Development Pathway Four juniors selected for Liverpool Competition representative squads in 2024, with multiple juniors progressing to senior cricket.
- Women’s Cricket Growth From zero to 45+ members in just five years, our women’s section is one of the fastest-growing in the region.
Our facilities
KJM Oval
Our historic home ground in Wallasey, with period pavilion with changing rooms and bar facilities, and astroturf practice nets.
Year-round Cricket
We operate throughout the year with outdoor cricket from April to September and indoor winter training sessions, and women’s and girls’ indoor winter tournaments.
Community hub
Our clubhouse hosts social events, family fun days, and our popular annual beer festival, welcoming the wider community throughout the year.
